Olympic Trials Update #4

It was an amazing day in Omaha today.  I hope you were all watching on NBC tonight.  If you were, you joined the NTSC swimmers in seeing Missy Franklin and Rachel Bootsma dethrone Natalie Coughlin in the 100 Backstroke final, Matt Grevers dominating in the 100 Backstroke, as well as Michael Phelps out touching Ryan Lochte in the 200 Free final by 5/100ths of a second.

All of this great finals action followed another outstanding day for NTSC swimmers in the Trials pool.  Jack Mangan set his second team record in as many days by going 2:03.85 in the 200 Backstroke.  Riley Hayward and Max Grodecki both swam personal bests today.  Riley dropped her best time in the 200 Breaststroke by over a second with her time of 2:39.68.  Max set his personal best in the 200 Free with a time of 1:53.49.

Tomorrow promises to be another fast day of swimming for NTSC as Max Grodecki, Reed Malone, Jack Mangan and Sam Metz all swim the 100 Freestyle.  Tomorrow marks the halfway point of the trials, and it is hard to believe all of the excitement we have already witnessed.  Check out the NTSC page on facebook for pictures throughout the week.
